What to Expect
We hope you’ll join us for our Sunday worship services to see for yourself what we’re all about. Through contemporary music and practical messages we present the truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.
How Do I get there?
What if I have kids?
We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early to allow for parking, registering your children at Check In on the lower level, and finding a seat.
What should I wear?
Casual dress is very appropriate at CRFC. You will see everything from sport coats to t-shirts.
What should I bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it. Or if you have a smart phone, you can download the bible app.
What happens during the worship service?
Our service begins with contemporary worship, led by a band – no choir robes or organ music. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto a screen, and you can either sing along or just sit back and enjoy the music. You'll probably hear songs you can relate to even if you haven't been to church in years.
During the announcement part of the service, we would like for you to fill out the “Connect Card”. There is an opportunity to sign up for events, ask for prayer, let us know your thoughts, or just indicate your presence with us. You then place it in the offering bucket when it passes. In any case, we use it to pray for you during the week. You won’t be asked to stand or raise your hand (or anything else embarrassing) just because you’re new.
Then, like most churches we take an offering. If you’re a guest – relax! The service is on us and there’s no obligation at all on your part. Just pass the offering bag on down the row.
As the offering is being taken, we transition right back into worship for a couple songs.
After our time of worship, we will encourage and challenge you with a practical message from the Bible. You’ll be able to easily follow along with slides and scriptures on the screen, as well as take notes on the bulletin, so that what you learn on Sunday, you'll be able to use and apply during the week.
How long does the service last?
The service lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
What about after the service?
Don't feel that you have to hurry out the door. In fact, you may want to help yourself to a cup of coffee, stop by the Welcome Center, or check out some of the Ministry tables. And don't forget to pick up your children before you leave!
